Calm The Beast:

Gwynevere threw on her pelts, sharpened her knife, and jumped out the window. This was probably the most important moment of he life. It was time for her First C-Ranked mission. Not that she cared about high high her mission score could got. What she really cared about was the fact that she was suppose to be taking down some wolves. This was the greatest moment in her life! Imagine another pack of wolves had moved in on her territory, and now it was time to show them who the alpha in these parts was! It was her! Gwynevere! Gwynever Inuzuka.

Her three pups jumped out behind her. They were not yet fully grown so alone they wouldn't be any match aginst the wolves, but sh'ed give them the oppritunity to see what they fought like. They were young but strong, soon they'd be large enough to tare a man's arm off, but for now they were cute as a button.

Her feet made a soft slapping sound as they collided with the pavement. The wind flew through the soft hair on her pelts as the broke into a sprint. The surrounding air rushed on by her, along with the rest of the village.

These wolves had been causing a problem with the local farmers. Eating animals, and attacking people. It was the natural order o things, but this was Gwyn's Territory! If anyone was going to eat farmer's animals, and attack people it was her! And she didn't even do it that often! These guys were going at it every night, like a bunch of savages, they brought dishonor to the names of dogs everywhere!

Truth be told she wasn't actually going on this mission alone. There was another guy she was suppose to meet up with. He was apparently in charge of the mission, a Jounin if she'd heard right. Well that was just fine as long as he didn't do anything stupid around teh wolves. Tehy were a proud and noble race of creatures and even when you were beating the living tar out of them they still deserved a bit of respect and reverence. That being said Gwyn was going to make a pelt out of at least one of them. This one she was wearing was starting to get a little worn out. She just hoped that they were a beautiful breed. Some wolves looked prety cool, and some just looked like they were mange infected muts. She really needed them to be the former ones, because the dogs were going to stop respecting her soon with her coat all in tatters. What did they want from her? She was a ninja clothing was bound to get ripped and torn every once in a while!

She was coming up upon the meeting spot. It was a small clearing just outside of the local forest. She couldn't wait to get started. As a person who'd been training with dogs all her life it was going to be so interesting to go into battle against some of them.

Jun hoped that her partner wouldn't be too dissapointed to find that her partner was actually just a Chuunin. The person who was suppose to lead her in this mission had called in sick today. Something about a whooping cough. Jun didn't know too much about that, but it sounded pretty bad. He was sitting slouched against shack just before the city gave way to the forest. He was still feeling pretty blue about the loss of his team mates, so it was going to be fun meeting someone new. He needed a good cheering up, and team building was the best tool for a heavy heart there was!

He was dressed up in a button up white shirt, with a loose red, and blue tie. He had nice slacks on and a pair of canvas sneakers covering his feet. His hair was a dark pink, and kind of splayed out from his head like a duck butt. In a cute way. He had big pink eyes, and luscious lips. He kind of looked like a woman disgusing herself as a man. When really he was just a Jun disguising himself as himself.

He awaited for the approach of his team mate patiently. As he laid down by himself on the ground, he hummed to himself joyously. He hadn't been out on a mission since he'd lost his arm so it was going to be interesting to see how this one went. He really hoped that he kept all of his limbs in tact this time though. He'd come to a new appreciation of having two arms ever since he lost one. Thanks Gawain you were a gentle man and a scholar.

He sat there baking in the sun for several moments. He'd never really had to deal with Wolves before. He wondered what they were like. He was sure that they were nothing compared to a dragon, but back then he did have a kage and and two of her Anbu protecting him. He supposed he still had that going on. They were still with him in a way, in his memories. Also you know, eye shoulders and all that.

Not too far off in the distance he could see someone aproaching his potion quickly. She was a wild looking woman, and had the classic Inuzuka tattoos on her cheeks. She looked kind of cute in a scary sort of way. She had three dogs trailing behind her, and looked like she was ready to go on the hunt. This looked like his man! Erm, Woman. Jun pulled himself up to his feet, and raised is hand in salutations. "Hey there!" He announced in a very friendly manner. "I'm Jun Watarase! I had a fill in for that other guy, but don't worry I'm fully briefed on the situation." He held his hand out for her to shake it.

"Before we get started what are you good at? We need to know each other's strengths before we just head into battle. We're going to be fighting a pack, so we might as well starting thinking like one right?"

Gwynevere was a little short on breath, but she didn't want to show that sign of weakness to her companion. She looked her superior up and down, checking for any distinguishing features. She didn't see anything terribly interesting about the girl, she seemed rather normal, if a tad on the beautiful side. She couldn't tell where this woman was of the same rank as the other person who was suppose to accompany Gwyn. However seeing that she knew nothing about the person who was suppose to be accompany her she didn't really mind the replacement. As long was there was someone around here who would let her complete this mission that was all she cared about.

"Gwynevere." Gwynevere announced holding her hand out for the shake. She gripped the woman's hand and gave it a firm and fierce handshake. "It's a pleasure."

She listened to Jun ask her about her particular talents, well that was an easy question. "I'm the best tracker in al of the hidden leaf village. In my own opinion. I can smell a foe two miles away, and I know the forests like I know the back of my own hand. Besides that me and my pups have our own special taijutsu style that we're skill at. We like to get in close and personal." She was beaming with pride. As far as she knew she was the only person in the world as skilled in the Inuzuka style of Taijutsu. At least as far as player characters were concerned.

Jun nodded. The smelling thing sounded pretty handy. He rubbed his right arm. So the two of them were both closed ranged type of people huh. Well he could work with that. At the very least he could make sure that the two of them didn't get killed by a couple of wolves. "Alrighty that sound pretty handy! So bet you'll have no problem at all finding these guys. I'm a swordsman myself so I'm afraid we won't be getting a lot of long range support, but even if they are really big wolves we shouldn't need that much fire power right?" He let out a small laugh. "Well there is suppose to be Four of them out there. So we have the numbers advantage so I guess just a straight up charge would work don't you think? I hear that the Inuzuka are experts at hit and run tactics. I think that maybe we could turn this mission into a learning opportunity! That being said I say we stay quite work around the parameters. We let that talented sniffer of yours find our targets. We get a lay of the land, and we wait until we can find the perfect opportunity to find out nasty little beasties." He laughed again and rubbed the back of his head. It sounded like a good idea to him at least. "Keep in mind that I'm only a amateur tactician so I'm more than open to hearing any other ideas if you have them." Jun kept his smiled and looked Gwynevere over. He hoped that she liked his plan, because he was kind of trying to get used to leading missions. He supposed that he could have just told her that was what they were going to use. however if he had a better idea he wanted to hear it! He was no dictator! He was a leader who liked to hear what his other team mates had to say.

PostSubject: Re: Calm The beast (C-Ranked Mission)   Calm The beast (C-Ranked Mission) EmptySat May 02, 2015 3:06 pm

Hmm this woman seemed weak to Gwyn. Maybe they had some great hidden strength but if she was the leader why was she asking what Gwynever thought. A pack leader does not ask their subordinates what they think. If they are the leader they are already the most capable of deciding what they must do. Gwynevere sighed. The one named Jun seemed young. The might have been her first time leading anything, so maybe she deserved some slack. Or maybe her weakness should be shown to the world so none else suffers from the girls inexperience and indecision. Right now it was wolves, but who knows what they'd put her in charge of if she proved herself today. Assassinations, guard duties, wars? Gwyn knew that that was a little extreme

"sneaking up on a wolf is going to be difficult. They have as good of a sense of smell as me. They'd catch me as soon as I catch them Unless we get lucky and the wind is on our size. A straight up charge will no doubt be out best option. The option that we're most capable of of course. However unless we get extremely lucky in our positioning and timing to sneak up on them. They'll be well aware that we're comign by the time we get there. Do you get what I'm saying? Wolves are the predators, we're not the ones doing the hunting. They are."

Gwynevere had worked with more than enough dogs to know what they were like. They didn't just sit around, and wait. They didn't just run away. They planned. Despite popular legends Dog were much smarter than cats. They're harder working, and much more loyal. Cats only had like a fifteen minute memory you know. However Jun was right. They did have the numbers advantage. Gwynever had her three dogs with her, and those three dogs were mighty warriors on their own. With her and her dogs they were going to kick some serious butt. She was more curious in seeing what sort of thing Jun could do. Other than her squad mates Gwyn had never seen another ninja in battle. As was mentioned she spent A LOT of time in the forest, if she'd never seen another ninja perform a jutsu that just told you HOW much. she lived in a village full of ninja's for the love of god. She wanted to see just what another ninja was capable. He said that he was skilled in close quarters as well, it'd be fun to see what he was up too.

PostSubject: Re: Calm The beast (C-Ranked Mission)   Calm The beast (C-Ranked Mission) EmptySun May 03, 2015 1:22 am

She had a solid point, however she was overlooking one serious point. A wind whipped around the two of them after Gwyn announced her objections to his plans. "I suppose you're right, but you forgot to take one thing into account. I'm a wind nature. I'm down wind from everything." He gave her a small giggle of excitedness. He never really got to say cool lines like that so he was glad he'd gotten his chance today!

The swirling of went stayed with them, and with their plan set out the two of them set out into the forest. It didn't take them too long before they were on the heels, erm paws to the wolves. Their pungent scent was no match for the talented sniffer of the Inuzuka girl and her puppies! Jun just wanted to pick all three of them up and rub them against his face, but he had a mission to focus on.

Jun had been sailing through these woods for his entire life. He was sure to some people it would be a pretty dangerous spot in the world, but he knew his way around these trees like he knew the streets of his village. Well at least he thought he did. That was all before he saw Gwyn running her way around the forest. He was having a hard time just keeping up. Not tah she was faster than him, she was just so much more confident with every step she took. It looked like she could navigate this place in her sleep, it was awesome! He'd have to ask her for some advice when all of this was over. He still wondered if it was that feral blood she had running through her. It was awfully tempting.

The pair had managed to land themselves a sweet overlook the the Wolves' den deep within the forest. Jun's little wind trick was keeping their scent from blowing into the wind, and they were too high up within the branches for the wolves to notice. They'd have a pretty good opportunity for an attack that was unforeseen and impossible to defend against.

Jun looked to Gwyn and waited to see when she was ready for the attack.

PostSubject: Re: Calm The beast (C-Ranked Mission)   Calm The beast (C-Ranked Mission) EmptySun May 03, 2015 2:10 am

A wind release user who could shroud their smell just by creating a sort of vortex around themselves? This was something that Gwyn had never considered before. She need to remember that next time she was on the hunt for a human. That was a tricky tricky move that she needed to remember. A hunter always has to be smarter than it's prey. Knowing what it's pretty is capable of is always a huge part of that. So as they went on that hunt Gwyn paid close attention to Jun's jutsu. Prodding it for any weaknesses. If a human like her could sense something wrong with it, then chances were that a fully grown wolf could too. She keep out. Mostly for the mission, but also because she wanted to know for future reference.

She led Jun on the hunt for the most part, but that's why she'd been sent in the first place so it didn't come as a shock to anyone, nor as an infringement of authority. She was simply doing what she was born to do. Hunt!

These wolves were big and decadent judging from their smell. So musty it almost mad her choke. Not the kind of wolves that were healthy for a forest. That's really why she was going on this mission. Wolves were good for a forest, they kept the herds moving along. If a herd of something has no predators then they just stay in one place , and get fat. Soil isn't turned underneath their constantly moving herds, and plants die. These wolves however didnt' seem like a good crown. They weren't taking their fair share which meant that they didn't belong in this forest. they were disrupting that natural order of things, and had to die. These were her woods, and she protected all that lived within . For the good of the forest these beasts had to die.

When the came upon the den of the beasts Gwyn ha to let out a small bit of a gasp . These wolves were absolutely huge. "Moro." She whispered drawing out her knife and getting ready to go on the attack. The wolves had to be twice the size of a regular dog. They had to be related to Moro the wolf goddess.

They were going to make one heck of a pelt!

Before jun could give signal for the attack Gwynevere had alrady dropped down from the tree down onto the biggest of the wolves. She wrapped her legs around the beast and slit it's massive thraot with her knife.

As she did her three dogs came down on the remaining wolves with passing fang each of them. However these wovles were too resistant to be felled by that attack. One wolf jumped from it's spot on the ground and grabbed Gwyn's arm within it's maw and crunched down. Bringing a great scream of pain from deep within her body.

Oh that's right they gave her a team mate for a reason. That's alright a broken arm was more than a good price for the lesson she was going to learn from all of this. If she ever wanted to avenge her father she couldn't just go around on her own any more. She had to ask for help. Not only ask for it, but she had to accept it too. Jun was so excited to be on a team with her here, and she'd just shrugged him off. She felt shame flow through her, oh and also pain. She thought that she was so strong on her own, but she was a dog and dogs were pack animals.

Now she was just waiting for the Alpha to make his move.

As Gwyn drew her knife from the neck of the

Jun watched in horror as Gwynevere got her mouth crunched b one of the wolves. That was actually a pretty cool team attack on her account, if only it' worked. These wolves seemed just a little too big to fall to something like that. She was incredibly swift, but it looked like her and those puppies of her didn't have much stopping power at the moment. Jun touche his right arm for a brief moment. This scene looked incredibly familiar to him. Although there was still a chance that he could Save Gwyn arm.

Down fro the tree tops came three bright arcs of light. They came down upon the three living wolves and sliced into them like they were nothing but air. When it made contact with their skin it was as if they portion of flesh touched by the attack disintegrated into a golden light.

With the rest of the wolves dispatched Jun dropped from the three tops with Excalibur in his hands. He sheathed the holy made and Jun over to Gwynevere. "Don't move!" She shouted as he got to her. He gently maneuvered her to have her back on the ground, and he clapped his hands together and rubbed them for a second. A green glow began to imitate from his hands. "Okay. This may sting a little bit." He placed his hands directly upon Gwyn's mangled arm. Usually the mystical palm technique didn't need to have direct contact to be effective, but jun had a slightly sinister plan up his sleeve. Almost literally. As he was healing her his right arm was sampling her dna and rewriting some of his own to match. He was going to become king some day, king of what he didn't know. But when he was king he wanted to be able to relate to all of his subjects. He wanted to know what each of them lived through. That'd been Gwyn's greatest gift to him, the power of empathy. Plus the ability to track someone down two miles away with just scent alone was far too cool for the young Watarase to pass on by. No one would get hurt, an the village could only benefit from having another talented nose on the team!

Gwynevere had no idea what had just happened. One moment those wolves were circling her, ready to rip her limb from limb and the next moment they were all dead in a golden ray of light. Or maybe it was several. It'd all happened so quickly that She wasn't sure which it was. All she knew was that those wolves were dead and it wasn't because gwynevere was the one who did them in. She looked up and could see Jun running towards her.

Could she really have been the one to kill off those wolves. This Jun character seemed to meek and unsure of themselves, it was unbelievable to think that she had such power. If Gwyn had that much power she would have gone crazy egotistical with it by now.

She came over to Gwyn and she couldn't even manage a thanks, she let herself be laid down on the ground, but when Jun touched her arm she yelped and threw a punch right at Jun's jaw. "Ow!" She whined miserably. "What are you doing?" She tried to yank her mangled arm away. "You don't have to touch it to do that you know!"

Jun brushed off the punch to his jaw and held his hands firm only on Gwyn's arm. He'd come too far now to let a cheap shot distract him. He held on, his could feel his cells slowing down the process it was almost over any way he just needed a few more seconds. "Please I'm trying to help, just stand still." While he was trying to get a hold of her bloodline he was also genuinely trying to help the feral girl out. Her arm was half torn off, half chewed up, and it needed some serious medical treatment. Jun was patching things up as best as he could. Gwynevere Terumi probably would have known exactly what to do in this situation, but for the moment Jun was a little distracted processing DNA.

Before his eyes he could see Her wounds closing up and knitting together. It was a good sign! Hey who knows? Maybe Jun was cut out to be a medic after all. He'd make the princess proud! "Alright you're almost good, but you're going to have to get to a hospital as soon as possible. I'm sorry for holding on and hurting you, but I'm not very skilled at this yet I wanted to make sure I did it right I'm sorry."

When his absorption of her DNA was complete he'd let go and let it swim around his body for a few seconds. He stretched his right arm as it pulsed slightly. He noticed something queer about what had just happened. "You're Not only an Inuzuka are you?"

Hmm Jun seemed to be too strong for Gwyn to break away from. Well played Jun, well Played. She was ready to start chewing the boys arm off, but the truth was, what he was doing was actually working. Her arm was started to put itself back together. It still felt horrible, but not like it was going to fall off horrible, so she couldn't really go hostile on him. Even if he was getting a little too touch for the wolf princesses' liking.

"Thanks." She grunted turning her head away to hide a blush. "I could have fixed it myself, but I guess you saved me some trouble."

Her ears pricked up when she heard Jun mention another Bloodline. "No, No I'm not." She announced turning her face. "I'm a Senju too, why?"

Jun took a gulp. Senju!?! Like the hokage senju? Like the tree people senju. Oh boy oh boy oh boy. Now he'd done it! Taking from the inuzuka was one thing, but the Senju? He wasn't sure how well those folk took to having their stuff stolen. Still... the idea of wood release... An advanced element like his magnetism, or The princesses boil skill. It was pretty attractive, and worth the risk if he could pull it off. He even had the elements required to perform it, and if he couldn't? He'd just get rid of the DNA and not worry about it, easy as that. No one would be the wiser. Yes good deal.

"Nothing, it just you didn't look completely like a Inuzuka. Different nose I guess." He laughed nervously. "Sorry I don't have a very good filter on my mouth, I picked it up  from an old master of mine." He kicked a rock and sent it flying against a tree. "Well any way. It looks like we're done here. Would you care to accompany me back to the Forest?"

If she said yes which wasn't likely because she wanted to skin the wolves, he talk with her the enitre way home, hoping that he could crack open her hard and crusty outside. When it came time to report their progress he'd exalt her efforts, and her quick elimination of the targets. Not to mention her excellent tracking skills, and teamwork.

If she did not then he would travel alone, and give a similar report. He'd report more accurately on what happened, but still paint in a very good light. Other than the fact that her puppies weren't super strong yet she would have taken out all four targets in a single strike. Which made Jun impressed enough to recommend her for some more training!

As for his own training... well he had some bloodlines to see if he could awaken.

(This Brings us to 4384,

Gwyn shook her head, and rubbed her arm tenderly. It did feel better even if he was just a novice healer. She pulled out a knife from her belt and got to work on the beast. It was a glorious kill! Gwynevere would never show her appreciation for saving her life in words however. Three of these pelts belong to Jun. She'd see about crafting a nice dress for the girl! She needed something that better showed off her figure any way, with what she was wearing Jun almost looked like a man. She'd never find a mate that way.
