Kaito had realized that he had made a mistake. Although the Lightning element was a powerful elemental nature, there was another element that was necessary for his plan to come to fruition. The Uchiha required the Earth element. To even abandon such a beautiful and elegant nature, lightning, truly hurt Kaito. Not to mention that his style was solely based on agile movement and quick execution. Now he'd have to get used to a brand new chakra type. Oh well, in the end it was for the greater good. "So it comes to this." The boy reached into his weapon pouch, taking out a small plastic case. He'd hold the case up and examine it before opening it to remove the small black pill. "So this is the pill that will get the job huh? I hope this works." Kaito sighed and closed his eyes, gathering himself and mustering up enough courage to swallow the small pill. There was no telling what this thing would do to him; if it'd even work.

"Here goes nothing!" Kaito swallowed the pill. Last second he could not find it in himself to completely swallow it. His tongue played around with the pill inside his mouth until he finally pushed it down and made the swallow. It went down quick and smooth. Everything seemed the same, no changes. "I don't feel any different. Did this thing work?" Suddenly he'd experience the most excruciating pain in the world. The boy held his chest and dropped onto his knees, screaming out in pain. It felt like he was being torn apart from the inside. "Aaaaaahh!!!!" He'd fall onto his face and begin shaking uncontrollably, sweating all over his body. Blood would begin dripping from his mouth. Kaito, through the pain, questioned if he would even survive this. The way thing was happening it didn't seem like he would.

Unable to handle the pain he began closing his eyes, dwelling into the unconscious state. Both of his eyes rolled up as he laid there on the floor twitching. Kaito soon found himself in another plane. Was he dead or something? Where was he? "Am I dead?" There was a feint glow in the distance. A glowing figure would approach him. The closer the figure got he could see that it resembled a female. "Kiki? Is that you?" She reached out but before he could touch her he woke up. Kaito was shaking from the trauma, sweat covering his entire body. The boy looked from side to side in a paranoid-like manner. He stood up and panted, holding out his hands to see if he could notice any difference.

To his surprise, things did feel different now that he had taken the pill. No longer did he feel that electrifying energy any more. Something else was in its place. The chakra that ran through his veins felt solidified and powerful, like the Earth itself. It was a good feeling. Kaito felt like he not only increased his chakra power, but his physical power as well. "Have I truly changed my chakra nature from Lightning to Earth?" The boy smiled. There was only one way to find out.

Feeling brand new, he'd have to test out his new chakra nature. In order to verify the pill's ability, he was going to do what he would have done with any other technique. Kaito would walk over to a large cinderblock that so happened to be in the area. He'd begin channeling his chakra, focusing on specifically using the Earth chakra nature to make the cinderblock shake. Yeah, it sounded very lame and boring but it was a good way to see if he could actually get the concrete rock to move just one bit. "Alright, I'll first begin with this here. I'll make my way up." Kaito finally focused on the Earth chakra and called upon its ability. He set his hand on the side of the cinderblock and channeled the raw chakra into the stationary object. It'd begin shaking a bit from the chakra that was being put into it. Watching it, he'd smile. Looks like he was getting somewhere. "Now that was a good run. Let me try this one more time. I have to make sure that I get this right." Kaito removed his current hand from the rock and placed the other to see if he could get the same amount of chakra into it.

And so he poured more chakra into the rock. Again, it began shaking a bit. Kaito was beginning to get the hang of this. "I see. I'll be able to use the earth below my feet to my advantage in battle. Perhaps this could actually come in handy after all." The boy'd chuckle and think of something else to do. When he turned his head he spotted a large boulder that also happened to be in the area. Kaito walked over to the large rock and placed both hands on the rock, "Okay, I'll know I am ready if I get this thing to move." Channeling the same chakra from before, he'd send his chakra into the massive rock. It didn't budge at first, which meant that he needed to concentrate a little harder. Kaito wasn't expecting to do this on the first try so he didn't really get annoyed with the failed attempt. "I'm not going to fail this time."

Kaito placed both hands on the rock once more. This time he was sure that he'd get the rock to budge. His chakra was channeled into the massive stone, making it shake just a bit. Seeing that he was making some progress had added to the confidence, giving him the power to shake the rock like it was the cinderblock. The boy was feeling the Earth chakra within his body. Yes, this was good. "Finally, I've done it. I think I can get used to something like this. Plus, it gets me closer with nature." The boy smiled and walked his way out of the area. Everything was looking good now. Kaito could finally focus on other things. With the Earth chakra down pack, he'd only need Suiton before he could commence his plan.
