Special Abilities:

Fear: The Helm of Darkness radiates an immense aura of fear within a 15 meter radius with the wearer at the center. This aura of fear is cast as a Genjutsu on everyone within the area of effect. The Genjutsu has a power of A and makes the effected targets face their worst fear. The targets body will still move and complete any actions they wish except the only thing they will see is their worst fear in front of them in the area the genjutsu took effect ie a forest, town, mountain etc. The Genjutsu may be resisted with a chakra or strength stat of S and requires a chakra stat of S or 3 tomoe sharingan to be released. This ability is passive, lasts until it is broken or dispelled and has no activation cost, upkeep or cooldown.

Shadow Melding: The Helm of Darkness allows the user to meld into any shadow for an indefinite period of time. Melding with a shadow happens at the wearer's reaction time. While within a shadow the user is able to travel to any other shadow within the topic. This ability has a cooldown of 3x number of posts used. Melding with a shadow costs A rank with an upkeep of C rank and traveling to a different shadow costs B rank. The Shadow Melding ability also allows the user to make themselves intangible to phase through solid objects such as walls, swords, other people etc. This ability lasts indefinitely and can be used to make only part of the user's body intangible ie an arm, leg, torso, hand etc. The intangibility has a cooldown of 2x number of posts used and has an activation of B Rank with an upkeep of D Rank

Disappear: The Helm of Darkness, while being worn renders the user completely invisible, unable to be heard and completely unable to be sensed no matter how skilled someone may be in Chakra Sensory, Doujutsu or any other sensory type technique. This ability may be turned on and off at will by the user and can last indefinitely with no cooldown. This does not have an activation cost but the upkeep is D rank per post used.



Backstory: The Helm of Darkness was created after the Cyclops were freed during the Titanomachy. They were so grateful for being set free, they created weapons to aid the gods in the war. For Hades, they created the Helm of Darkness. He used it in this war, and kept it afterwards.
